About this machine
Unlike a standard drum crusher, this set needs no manual loading of drums or removal of the crushed disc. Once a drum is placed on the conveyor, the whole cycle runs automatically: feeding, crushing, returning the ram and ejecting the flattened disc.
It is made up of a roller conveyor, the crushing unit and a hydraulic ejector, interlocked electrically so the conveyor stops and starts with the crusher. It crushes almost all metal drums and barrels of up to 220 litres, and the chamber can be made to suit other drum sizes. An infrared sensor stops the process immediately if anyone approaches the compression chamber.
For plants and yards that handle large numbers of scrap drums every day, it saves storage space, transport and labour costs.
Features
- Fully automatic operation
- Liquid drainage channel to collect residual liquid and keep the area dry
- Spikes on the platen to puncture drums for easier crushing
- PLC control
- Long ram stroke for a high compaction ratio
Typical materials
Oil drums, paint drums and other steel or aluminium drums and barrels.
